Love, Dorothy. The Bracelet. Nashville, TN: Thomas Nelson Publishing. 2014.
SUMMARY:
Set in Savannah, Georgia, in the mid 1800’s, Celia Browning and her family must protect their upstanding character within the community while a nosy newspaper writer, Mr. Leo Channing, suspects differently. When Celia becomes engaged to Sutton Mackay, she finds she must discover the truth about her family’s history- how her cousin, Ivy Lorens, fits into the picture, why she received a warning letter and bracelet, as well as the reason for the secret attic passage and noose in the carriage house…
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
Such a romantic, mysterious web Dorothy Love creates in her newest novel, The Bracelet. Set in one of my favorite cities of all, Savannah, I was enthralled by the history and characters involved, only to find out some of the story and characters actually existed (per the Author’s Note section). After the mystery concluded, I reread the Prologue which encircled the entire story for me (brilliant). Well written with just enough romance and mystic, I look forward to the continuing story set for next year already. (I just knew the puppy in the story had to be a Golden Retriever…I adore the tribute!)
RATING:
4.5 (out of 5) pennies

We all love our Goldens!!!!!
Absolutely! The author included a Golden in the book as a loving tribute to her good friend, Major.
