RATING SYSTEM (out of 5 Pennies)
Books are meant to be savored yet sometimes devoured so Jen Pen came up with the following Rating System to help you decide which books to savor and devour:
*Outstanding, a definite must-read, fantastic style and storyline, rapid page-turner*
*Still a must-read, fluid writing style with a gripping storyline, perhaps plentiful description*
*A good read, sometimes predictable in plot, characters not as fully developed*
*Hard to finish, unrealistic, may contain questionable elements, doesn’t capture interest*
*Doesn’t reach standards, most likely contains controversial elements, flawed style*
**RATING SYSTEM FOR YOUTH BOOK REVIEWS ARE BASED ON FAMILY-FRIENDLINESS, AGE APPROPRIATENESS, ENTERTAINMENT VALUE AND MORAL SOUNDNESS. Recommended ages are included if necessary.

I like your rating system. I like to read reviews about books I’ve heard about to see if they might be something I would like to read. It’s a good “heads up” to see an honest review and then I can make my own decision. Thanks!
I try to be fair on the ratings although I realize everyone likes different story lines, types and writing styles. I almost always check reviews before reading a book so I am not too surprised. Thanks for letting me know you enjoy the rating system!
