Hope Harbor

Hannon, Irene. Hope Harbor. Grand Rapids, MI: Revell Publishing. 2015.

hopeharborTraveling to the coast of Hope Harbor, Oregon, the hometown of his late wife’s’ childhood, Michael Hunter is searching for answers, peace and closure. Returning to her family’s cranberry farm after the death of her husband, Tracy Campbell finds she must dig deeply for a means to save it from financial ruin. Along with a few surprise characters along the way, Michael and Tracy must overcome their pasts, express forgiveness, accept grace and chance their hearts once again…

Though not the usual genre from Irene Hannon that I have read previously, I enjoyed this first book in a new series. Romance, humor, forgiveness, pain and mystery all blended for a quick read which I actually found worked. Deeper messages of hope, love and faith also contributed to the novel. Impressed the author can write just as well in a different genre than her suspense novels, I look forward to continuing with the next book in this series, available summer of 2016.
