SUMMARY:
Celebrating the amazing, fantastic, interesting and crazy world of animals, author Maja Safstrom shares fun, delightful, intriguing and unusual information about many well-known animals. Coupled with black and white illustrations, each two page layout in this medium sized, hardcover book provides tidbits that fascinate. Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards, penguins laugh when tickled, goats have rectangular pupils and a group of rhinos is called a crash. Perfect for people of all ages, The Illustrated Compendium of Amazing Animal Facts is purely enjoyable…

A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
Filled with so many compelling facts on animals, I truly appreciated and enjoyed this cute little book. Easy to read, the included information just kept the pages turning while I shared all of what I read with my family. As a docent at the local Zoo, these curious morsels are perfect for sharing with zoo guests. (My favorites…tigers have the same pattern on their skin as on their fur and blue whales have belly buttons!) Ideal as a gift, readable for any age, easy to take along and sure to please, I most likely will purchase another copy to give as I don’t plan on sharing mine. Love it!

RATING:
5 (out of 5) pennies
