Bogart, Lisa. Knit, Purl, Pray: 52 Devotions for the Creative Soul. Franklin, TN: Worthy Publishing. 2015.
SUMMARY:
Based on her passions of knitting and writing, author Lisa Bogart combines her creativity in Knit Purl Pray. With short, double-page length inspirations, each of the included fifty-two devotions are centered around knitting notions (metal or bamboo needles, the local yarn shop, knitting lessons) yet stretched to include life situations and God-centered thoughts and ideas. Complete with a scripture verse to start each section, each skein-sized piece is refreshing and encouraging…
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
Honest reveal here…I am in no way a knitter though I have tried countless times (each attempt ended with the project AND the needles in the garbage) yet in some crazy, unexplainable manner, I read, reviewed and actually enjoyed this little book of devotions. Perhaps the warm, fuzzy, hopeful way in which it was written stuck a creative chord with me (or the unimaginable thought that maybe, just maybe, there is hope for my knitting yet). Either way, I applaud the author’s award-winning writing as well as appreciate the many knitted gifts donated to Guideposts Knits for Kids. Definitely worthy as the perfect gift for any knitter, I plan on bestowing my copy, perhaps even with a knitted gift, to a special person in my life (who actually loves to knit).
RATING:
4.5 (out of 5) pennies

I really like the title of this book and it sounds like a very, nice and possibly inspirational book! thanks!
I liked the title as well…are you a knitter? It is perfect as a gift to self, or a special knitter in your life!
I am not but my cousin who I am very close to she knits, crochets and makes lovely gifts!
This may be the perfect book to share with her. Unfortunately, I have tried to knit but must instead settle for enjoying the title (and the knitted gifts I receive)!
ha ha yes she would love it! I thought of her right away and it sounds lovely!
