Payleitner, Jay. What If God Wrote Your Bucket List: 52 Things You Don’t Want To Miss. Eugene, OR: Harvest House Publishers. 2015.
SUMMARY:
Seriously…what if God truly wrote your bucket list? Amazingly simple, incredibly straight-forward, surprisingly abundant and marvelously blessed would be the outcome. In his new book, Jay Payleitner challenges to trade the glitzy, glamorous, over-the-top bucket list for one that shines for God. Forgive yourself, be last in line, run with scissors, celebrate quirks and write your own tombstone…all examples of living for God while enjoying the blessings bestowed. Personal stories, action lists and lessons to be learned, complement the message well.
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
I love the premise of a bucket list in sync with how God wants you to live your life. Though not flashy, God’s bucket list for you may include fewer items but more time to enjoy, embrace, absorb and make an impact. I especially appreciated the chapter on running with scissors- obey God’s rules but Goody-Two-Shoes need to bend the others a bit as no one is perfect. Humorous, thought-provoking, well written and inspiring, I liked the set up of the book which would make it easy to read in daily or weekly segments. Great!
