Macomber, Debbie. Love Letters: A Rose Harbor Novel. New York: Ballantine Books. 2014.
Book 3 in the Rose Harbor Inn series, Love Letters finds the Rose Harbor Inn proprietor, Jo Marie Rose, busy with her summer guests as well as the elusive handyman, Mark Taylor. Convincing herself and her family that he is just a friend may prove more difficult than originally thought though. Summer at the Inn also finds Bed-and-Breakfast guest Ellie Reynolds in town to meet a man she has been corresponding with for months, much to her over-protective mother’s chagrin. Also visiting are Maggie and Roy Porter, a couple whose marriage is on the rocks after serious past mistakes. All involved find love letters which could provide the answers and hope deeply needed…
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
As a fan of Debbie Macomber, I so enjoy her recent novels surrounding Rose Harbor Inn. A place of warmth and healing, the Inn is the perfect backdrop for relationships, forgiveness, happiness, growth and understanding to take place. A moving story with heartfelt characters and storylines, I enjoyed and quickly finished it. Leaving the door open for the next book in the series, I am already looking forward to the continuation. Though a series, this book works well as a stand-alone though some of the information about the Inn owner may not be known.
