William, Pat. With Denney, Jim. It’s Not Who You Know, It’s Who You Are. grand Rapids, MI: Revell publishing. 2015,
SUMMARY:
Full of famous and successful people (Michael Jordan, Barry Manilow, James Dobson, Florence Griffith Joyner, Colin Powell, George W. Bush), It’s Not Who You Know, It’s Who You Are shows how those people thrive in living correctly. Though not always easy nor always successful, each person overcame obstacles in life to be a winner, in the important meaning of the word.
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
Though not always glamorous, each little anecdote with a famous person shares the experience and importance of striving for happiness, success, leadership, influence and excellence. I found many of the short stories to be insightful of people in a way not often seen/ known. An inspirational book, anyone interested in fascinating people from all walks of life is sure to enjoy it. As senior VP of the NBA’s Orlando Magic, Pat Williams has come in contact with some mighty people over the years. Good for him turning those experiences into a learning experience for all.
RATING:
3.5 (out of 5) pennies
