Paper Hearts

Walsh, Courtney. Paper Hearts. Carol Stream, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc. 2014.

SUMMARY:
paperheartsHaving romantic grandparents who named the town “Love’s Park”, Abigail Pressman just knows she has to find Mr. Right soon. With the help of the Valentine Volunteers (aka Loves Park Meat Market Matchmaking Guild), she is truly feeling the pressure. When Abigail’s store, The Book Nook, has its building threatened to be sold to an attractive new landlord, she is inspired to string anonymous paper hearts throughout her store; however, when new hearts are delivered, she realizes there may be more involved than just the paper hearts. Will Abigail need to decide between her heart and her business?

A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Paper Hearts is a sweet story filled with hope, love, inspiration, forgiveness and heartache. I was drawn to the book by the cover, enjoyed the premise, encountered a few surprises and sighed at the end. I chuckled quite often at the antics of the Valentine Volunteers- quite the group of characters!  A new author for me, I will definitely watch for Courtney Walsh’s books again while making room for this one on my bookshelf…it may just become a Valentine’s Day tradition.

RATING:
4 (out of 5) pennies
