Macomber, Debbie. Mr. Miracle: A Christmas Novel. New York, NY: Ballantine Books. 2014.
SUMMARY:
Home for the holidays, Addie Folsom decides to stay home in Tacoma for good this time. Enrolling in the local community college for a high school credit she missed, she meets her middle-aged teacher, Mr. Harry Mills. Unknown to Addie, Harry Mills is actually an angel on earth still in training with a mentor looking over his shoulder. Soon enough, Harry finds human behavior and emotions may be more intense than he anticipated. With a mission to help Addie get her life back on track and perhaps find a bit of neighborly love, Harry (Mr. Miracle) experiences a few surprises himself…
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
As a favorite author, especially of her books containing angels- Shirley, Goodness and Mercy- I was excited to read Debbie Macomber’s newest edition, Mr. Miracle, which follows on the footsteps of Mrs. Miracle. Definitely a sweet charming story, this book is sure to follow as a Hallmark Channel movie. Full of faith, romance, and humor, Mr. Miracle was just as expected…delightful!
RATING:
4 (out of 5) pennies
I think we could all use an Angel in our life every now and then to get us back on track……nothing wrong with a little romance also!!
I so agree! Thanks for visiting!
I’ve watched the Hallmark Channel movie Mrs. Miracle and good three or four times. I hadn’t heard of Debbie Macomber before seeing the movie, but I’ve looked her up since then, and now I plan on reading her books. I hope Mr. Miracle becomes a movie, too! 🙂
I truly enjoy some of her books- especially the Angel ones as they are quite humorous! I know she has a few series of books also. Please let me know which ones you decide to read! Thanks!
Well! I read Thanksgiving Prayer some weeks ago (didn’t really care for it), and I read Family Affair, a novella, and Starry Night, a Christmas novel, this week. Of the three books I’ve read by Macomber so far, I liked Starry Night the best. Delightful! I mightn’t have time to fit in reading Mr. or Mrs. Miracle before this Christmas, but I’ll at least watch Mrs. Miracle the movie–yet again–before the 25th. 😀
I have only read Starry Night of the ones you listed and I did enjoy it. Have you tried any of the Shirley, Goodness and Mercy books yet? They are three quite humorous Angels who visit earth on different occasions to “help” with earthly matters. Very enjoyable! Of course, I will have to watch both Mrs. Miracle movies again this year too- so sweet! Thanks for the update!
My pleasure, and thanks–I’ll check out all of Macomber’s angels. 🙂
