Goyer, Tricia. By the Light of the Silvery Moon. Uhrichsville. OH: Barbour Publishing. 2012.
SUMMARY:
Amelia Gladstone takes a chance by offering a stowaway a second class ticket for the Titanic. Her offer of kindness sweeps her into a Titanic-sized adventure that forces her to span the gap between the first and second class societies. She must chose whom to place her trust in – a decision that must be made prior to the Titanic’s famous fate.
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
For a Titanic enthusiast, this novel will allow the reader to travel through the ship with a first- hand view of life on the ship. The history of the Titanic is intertwined in the characters’ adventures providing an exciting opportunity to imagine oneself aboard the ocean liner. The elegant atmosphere of the majestic ship will serve as impetus for the reader to rapidly turn pages until reaching the end; thus, reading until guided “by the light of the silvery moon”.
MY RATING:
4.5 (out of 5) pennies
